Sunday weather sucked
Did not do a thing on Sunday, and had a day of rest. I am hoping the weather this week is much better as the week goes on. I have to get the Kms ramped up for the first race coming up on April 20th. The biggest race I am preparing for this year is the Test of Metal in Squamish, BC. That is going to be the real test of mental, and physical for me. It should be fun getting myself prepared for the race. I know I won't win the race, but having a good placing is the thing. I am in the Elite category this year at the Test of Metal.

Saturday March 29th ride.
Now that my feet have unthawed and I am comfortable , I will review my ride for today. Was going to initially ride on the road today, but it was to cold for this wuss. I opted for the mountain bike today instead. No single speed, road the geared slayer today. Rode all along the east side of the reservation then went into Fish Creek park. I am not to familiar with Fish Creek, and it made for a good adventure. Although it was cold and my feet eventually got frozen, I did enjoy the ride.
There were some steep climbs that I came across, and was able to climb them. But last year I am pretty sure that I wouldn't have made it up them. Would have only made it about 3/4 of the way up before having to bail off because of losing power, or my breath. LOL
Up ahead there was a group of mountain bikers and I figured I would catch up and see if I knew who they were. Probably the group was about 20 large, but did not know one person as I blew past them.
On the south end of 37th street there is the reservation, and I had thought that I might try and go through the reservation. (not using my head) After getting in about a km or so I realized that I wasn't thinking and turned around and left the reservation. Had a gut feeling that I shouldn't go through there, and decided to trust it and not take a chance. With my luck I would get lost and then get run over or something and no one would be able to find me, and then all the pain of having someone put in a missing persons report. I think my car was left on the reservation after it was stolen a little while ago.
Tomorrow isn't supposed to be very nice so I will probably be riding the mountain bike again. I so wanted to get in some quality road miles this weekend. Guess I am going to have to wait until next weekend to get in some quality kms.

TT March 26/08
Did the ole time trial last night, and have improved a little bit each time I have done one. Hoping next week will be an improvement.
10kms
Time 12:02 fastest time for me yet.
MHR 196
Don't remember maximum speed.
I just have to focus on having a faster cadence and I will slowly get faster over time.
I am going to have to see if I can pin it for the last 2 minutes instead of the last minute and a half. This weekends riding should be able to help in that department, at least I am hoping it does.
